| We have owned and bred Pekingese since 1973.
It started with Lady in Waiting
at Dratsum who we rescued through the RSPCA when our eldest daughter, Karen, was working
for them on a voluntary basis.
We took the advice of another
well known local breeder, Sadie Stagg, and let 'Cindy' have her first litter of puppies
after checking with the Vet that she was big enough - she weighed 15lbs, a big girl to say
the least!
Her first litter to Chophoi
Yuan Mei gave us four puppies and, of course, we had to keep one which we called Dratsum I
Like Ya or 'Polly'. History repeated itself and Polly had her first litter!
We came to realise that Cindy
was a grand daughter of Champion Caversham Ku Ku of Yam and was descended from Jamestown
and Caversham through the Belknap Kennel, we decided to introduce a new line and opted
for the Toydom Kennel owned by Misses Vandella Williams and Adele Summers .
They had some beautiful dogs and we became regular visitors.
And so it all began.....
We try to attend most breed
club shows when possible and occasionally the general championship shows.
